Performance is considered an essential part of the Suzuki program.
Each year, every child will perform in at least two recitals, including one at the University of Alberta’s beautiful Convocation Hall. Each teacher hosts a concert for their own students, from the earliest beginners to the most advanced players in Book Seven.
Students are also given performance opportunities at workshops and festivals. Families are encouraged to hold informal concerts at home for family and friends as much as possible.
Upon completion of each volume of the Suzuki repertoire, ESPS students perform three pieces from their graduating volume in a graduation concert at Alberta College’s Muttart Hall with all other students who have finished a book. Graduation ceremonies are held four times yearly.
